Willington’s Dragon Inn is a 150-year-old pub with character, charm and a warm welcome – and it has let us have three top prizes to give away.
Situated in the heart of the village and backing on to the Trent and Mersey Canal, it has been sympathetically renovated with the introduction of a 70-seater restaurant, a courtyard and a dedicated bar area.
The Dragon comes into its own on sunny afternoons, when people flock to the beer garden, on the edge of the canal. Classic and contemporary dishes are served throughout the day and evening, including food from the Big Green Egg barbecues on sunny days. And most of the beers come from the microbrewery at sister pub The Boot Inn, in Repton.
Our top prize is a meal for two people valued at up to £60, at The Dragon. The second prize is a brewery tour and beer tasting of the same value for four people, at The Boot. The third prize is a £20 gift voucher to be redeemed at The Dragon.
To enter our competition, just answer the following simple question: on the banks of which canal does The Dragon sit?
The closing date for entries is November 6. Usual competition rules apply.
