An afternoon tea and a pair of cream teas are up for grabs in this competition run by Homesford Cottage Tea Rooms, in Cromford.
Homesford Cottage Tea Rooms is run by Rebecca Walton and is fairly unique in that, as well as offering tasty food and drink, it also runs textile workshops.
Rebecca’s interest in all things vintage, such as the crockery and fashions, also extends to ancient Derbyshire recipes, such as Wirksworth Thor Cake.
We have three prizes – an afternoon tea for two worth £25 and two runners-up prizes of cream teas, worth £5 each.
The afternoon tea consists of finger sandwiches made to order to customer requirements, plus fruit or plain scones with clotted cream and jam, followed by homemade cakes and a few fancy extras. The cream teas consist of homemade fruit or plain scones with clotted cream and jam, served with tea or coffee.
To enter, just answer the following question: on which busy road will you find the Homesford Cottage Tea Rooms?
