The Fisherman’s Rest, in Broadholme, Belper, has a simple vision – to be a cosy, comfortable country pub that has something for everyone.
“We are very keen on ‘local living’, so we source as much as possible from Derbyshire,” says boss Tim Sidaway, who also runs Derby Restaurant of the Year Terroir Bistro.
“Many of our beers and drinks are sourced from local companies, and our food is cooked from fresh, local ingredients – some from our own livestock.”
As well as beers from Derbyshire breweries, you will find gin from White Peak Distillery, in Ambergate, and cider from Darley Abbey Cider Company.
In our competition, one lucky reader will win a meal for two made up of two main meals and two desserts worth up to £42. One runner-up will receive a voucher for two double White Peak gin and tonics worth £14.40.
